    My participation in the Computer Science Fellowship will allow me to learn more about technology tools that teachers currently use in their classrooms. I plan to use the coding skills that I learn through the fellowship with my future students to make lessons more meaningful and engaging. I love technology and I hope other pre-service teachers are offered an opportunity to participate in the Computer Science Fellowship in the future!

    My plans upon graduation are to fulfill a career as a full-time teacher in Jackson Public Schools, obtain a Master’s degree to become a guidance counselor and join the United States Airforce. I’ve decided to participate in the Computer Science Fellowship because it will help me gain a better understanding of how to incorporate technology into my lessons. Computer Science is important in education because it is necessary for students to be taught skills that will make them marketable to employers in the future. It is my hope that JSU will invest in having a Computer Science course in the Education Department that can teach pre-service teachers ways to use technology in the classroom.

    My plan upon graduation is to become a full-time Jackson Public Schools world geography teacher. Throughout my career path, I have noticed how relevant and important coding has become in the education system. Through this fellowship, I will be able to use my creativity to enhance lessons through coding in the classroom! I want my future students to engage in different lessons that not only incorporate technology but also allow them to be current and knowledgeable about the use of technology as well. I am excited and eager to learn different coding skills to use in my classroom through the Computer Science Fellowship!

    My plans upon graduation are to continue my education through Jackson State University while teaching in the Canton Public School District. I decided to participate in the Computer Science Fellowship to meet new people and learn more about technology. Coding is very new to me, and I am excited and eager to learn about it. I am even more excited that I will have an opportunity to teach what I learn through the fellowship to young children!

    I plan to teach in Jackson, MS in the Fall. I’ve decided to participate in the Computer Science Fellowship to learn about coding and to learn about how I may be able to incorporate coding into my lessons. I know that this computer science experience will help me become a more effective teacher. Computer science is extremely important in education, especially since technology is prevalent in education now. Students are often more engaged when it comes to technology. Therefore, my plan is to use the coding skills that I learn through the fellowship as an engagement tool with my students! I am elated to participate in the Computer Science Fellowship, and I can’t wait to put what I learn into action!

    My plan upon graduation is to teach in my hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. I decided to participate in the fellowship to elevate my teaching abilities. These training sessions will allow me to learn more about coding so that I can implement newly learned skills into my future teaching. I feel that computer science is important in education because it will provide the necessary training and knowledge that students will need to be successful in a society that has embraced technology in all aspects of life.
